Not every engineering problem is complex.

Some are just… time-consuming.

Why Weight Calculations Slow Engineering Workflows

Weight calculations are a good example. They’re essential, but often repetitive, manual, and easy to underestimate. When drawings change, materials vary, or cavities are involved, engineers often end up recalculating the same information repeatedly.

At Amarex Metals, we saw this happening daily. Valuable engineering hours were being spent on routine calculations instead of problem-solving, optimization, or execution.

Building a Better Internal Tool

So we decided to fix it internally first.

Mr. Aryan Jain built a calculator to simplify weight estimation from engineering drawings. The goal wasn’t to replace engineering judgment, but to remove friction from the workflow.

Available to Everyone for Free

What started as an internal tool is now available to everyone for free, with no logins and no data retention.

Because sometimes, solving engineering problems isn’t about adding complexity.

It’s about removing it one small detail at a time.
