Brass & Copper Grades We Machine
Brass grade selection decides machinability, corrosion resistance and compliance. We machine the following grades routinely and can source others against your specification.
Grade certificates supplied with every batch; lead-free grades available for regulated markets.
| Grade | Key properties | Typical applications |
|---|---|---|
| CZ121 / CW614N / CuZn39Pb3 | Free-machining brass - the turning workhorse | Turned components, fittings, fasteners |
| 70-30 lead-free brass | Lead-free compliance, ductility, corrosion resistance | Drinking-water and export-market fittings |
| 67-33 lead-free brass | Lead-free with good machinability | Electrical and plumbing components |
| IS 319 / BS 2874 brasses | Indian and British standard turning brasses | General turned parts to legacy drawings |
| Copper | Highest electrical conductivity | Terminals, contacts, EV-charging parts |
| Bronzes (on request) | Bearing strength, saline-environment resistance | Bushes, marine hardware, valve components |
Brass & Copper Components We Manufacture
Typical brass CNC turned components and copper machined parts we supply to OEMs, made to customer 2D/3D drawings and samples:
- Brass electrical components – panel fittings, substation assemblies, terminals
- EV charging parts – brass and copper pins, contacts and connector bodies
- Marine hardware and fittings in brass and bronze
- Pipe fittings, adapters and threaded connectors
- Locomotive and railway brass parts
- Custom brass turned components to drawing
How We Work Brass - Casting, Forging & CNC Turning
Brass is the one material family where we run every route in-house: brass and bronze casting, hot brass forging, and high-volume CNC turning. The process is chosen per part – castings for complex bodies, forgings for pressure-bearing parts, bar-turned components for precision volume work – then everything is machined and inspected for drawing.
Brass & bronze casting
Complex bodies and marine/electrical hardware cast then machined
Hot brass forging
Pressure-tight, high-strength forged blanks machined to tolerance
CNC turning
Brass CNC turned components at production volumes with consistent accuracy
Finishing & plating
Electroplated, passivated or natural finishes to specification
Brass & Copper Manufacturing Process
Brass is the one material family where we run casting, hot forging and CNC turning ourselves. That means the blank route is chosen for the part rather than for whatever a single process can produce.
Brass and bronze bodies sand cast or shell moulded in-house
Hot brass forging for pressure-tight, high-strength near-net blanks
CNC turned at production volume with consistent accuracy across the run
Electroplated, passivated or natural finishes to your specification
Why Choose Brass & Copper Alloys
Brass remains the default engineering choice where machinability, conductivity and corrosion resistance must combine in one affordable material.
Machinability
Free-machining brasses cut faster than almost any other metal, lowering unit cost
Electrical conductivity
Brass and copper carry current reliably in panels, substations and EV chargers
Corrosion resistance
Stable in saline and humid environments; proven in marine service
Lead-free compliance
70-30 and 67-33 lead-free grades for regulated export markets
Long service life
Resists dezincification and wear in continuous duty
