Aluminum Grades We Machine
We select the grade to match the part’s job – structural strength, surface finish, conductivity or castability. The table below shows the alloys we work with most, why engineers specify them, and where they are typically used.
Other aluminum and zinc grades available on request against customer drawings and standards.
| Grade / alloy | Key properties | Typical applications |
|---|---|---|
| 6061 (T6) | All-round strength, machinability, weldability | General engineering, automotive brackets, housings |
| 6082 (T6) | Higher strength structural alloy | Load-bearing automotive and industrial parts |
| 6063 (T6) | Excellent surface finish, anodises well | Extruded profiles, enclosures, panel parts |
| 5000 series | Marine-grade corrosion resistance | Housings and fittings in wet/saline environments |
Aluminum Components We Manufacture

How We Work Aluminum - Casting, CNC Machining & Anodising
CNC turning & milling
Tight-tolerance machining of bar stock, castings and profiles
Anodising & plating
Anodised CNC parts and plated finishes for protection and cosmetics
Inspection
Calibrated dimensional inspection and material traceability on every batch
Aluminium Machining Process
6061-T6 is our most commonly used aluminium grade. We machine bar stock, castings and extruded profiles to tight tolerances, then anodise or plate where protection or appearance calls for it.

Why Choose Aluminum for Machined Components
Engineers specify aluminum where weight, conductivity and corrosion resistance matter more than raw hardness. Machined aluminum parts weigh roughly a third of steel equivalents while offering excellent electrical and thermal conductivity.
Lightweight strength
High strength-to-weight ratio for automotive and portable equipment
Electrical conductivity
Ideal for connectors, terminals and current-carrying components
Corrosion resistance
Natural oxide layer, enhanced further by anodising
Machinability
Fast cutting speeds keep unit costs competitive
Thermal performance
Heat sinks and housings that dissipate heat efficiently
